My thinking is that the team already has a contract with that player, so in the MLB Daily transactions, why do they list the team as purchasing the contract. Is the team paying themselve’s for the contract or is this a price the player receives for being called up to the show?

The Atlanta Braves have the second best record at home 22-7 in MLB this year and the worst record 7-21 on the road. Only 4 of the 30 MLB teams have winning records on the road including the Angels in the AL and the Phillies, Marlins, and Cardinals in the NL. What are the factors contributing to this disparity and is there anything that MLB teams can do to play better on the road?

There are two more spots available in the AL to make it the same number of teams as the NL. Does anyone have information on this? I think good potential MLB cities will be Indianopolis (they are building a massive retractable roof stadium now) and Vancouver, BC (they have BC Stadium). Other cities for mention include Portland and Sacramento.
